History
The lore of Maiden Rock describes the story of a young Sioux woman who leaped to her death from the limestone bluff when her family denied her marriage to the man she loved. The town of Maiden Rock, WI lies at the confluence of the Rush River and the Mississippi and is full of river town charm, scenic beauty, and rich history.

During the warmer months, regional farms welcome visitors to see some of the area's spectacular views, visit working farms, and check out local farm-grown products. Plus, Great River Road travelers can make a stop just off the river road to pick blueberries, black, red and white currants, and gooseberries.
